We are proud to have Ms. Carrie Pitts continue with us for her Liberty University Internship this Spring and Summer (2025) after which she will graduate (August) and complete the steps for Associate Licensure with the NC Board of Licensed Clinical Mental Health Counselors (Fall 2025). Carrie brings valuable life and ministry experience that serves our clients well. She is a devoted Christian and is active in her local church where she volunteers in the Children’s Ministry.
Carrie is trained in Sand Tray Therapy, a therapy used for children and adults with trauma. Carrie has a deep desire to help women and children heal from trauma and abuse. She continues to grow her skills in Re-Decision Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Solution Focused Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Trauma-Focused CBT.
Carrie is on the Board of NAMI, National Alliance on Mental Illness, Iredell Affiliate. She facilitates a Family Support Group for those who have loved ones battling mental illness. Carrie graduated from Southern New Hampshire University with a BA in Psychology in December 2022 and will graduate from Liberty University with a Masters of Arts in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in August 2025.
Carrie was born and raised in Upstate New York and moved to North Carolina in 2005 where she has been raising her two incredible daughters, the light of her life, while pursuing her second career, her true calling – Christian Counseling. She also has administrative experience in television working in the NASCAR racing field, a fun fact. As Carrie completes her graduate studies this year, she supports her daughters as one participates in competitive dance and the other in basketball. They are all entertained by their two dogs and three cats.
